And in the morning
We will remember them
Lest We Forget
We've got people standing on Footpaths at 6am to celebrate.
We've got people making clever Rosemary wreaths to place on doors.
We've got others turning milk cartons into lanterns painted with poppies.
What does this say about us as Australians?
This goes to prove the point that against all odds, we are resilient under the face of fire. (Bushfire or rimfire - we are still forged and honed like steel.)
So on this day, when we must try harder, show our inventiveness in order to pay tribute, lets take a moment and remember those who gave so much so that we may enjoy. the freedoms on a daily basis and the right to live in a democracy where our basic needs are met, where our health needs are attended to.
We truly are a "Lucky Country."
